Project Brief:
This was a class project centered on redesigning Perdido Street Station by China MiƩville, a book I had never encountered before. The task was to create a 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition from the ground up, covering everything from the book itself to a full promotional launch campaign. Getting familiar with the source material quickly and translating its tone into a cohesive visual identity was the first real challenge of the project.

Solution:
I redesigned the book cover and interior layout to reflect the dark, dense, and imaginative world MiƩville built, then extended that visual language across three promotional campaigns. This included a motion graphic teaser, print materials like posters, event banners, and billboards, a social media campaign with preorder promotions and quote reveals, and a merchandise line featuring a bucket hat, mug, and signed poster. I also wrote landing page copy covering the audiobook, preorder bundle, and author description. The project pushed me to work across a wide range of formats while keeping everything rooted in the same visual and tonal identity.
